1.2 very poorly

right my 1.2 (carb) engine started playing up the other day, it was dying on tickover when the choke was not on even when fully warm.
so i checked the plugs, gave them a good old clean, & leads. Thought it may be to do with fueling so i took the carb appart and cleaned it all up.

took it for a quick run and it has now lost even more power and only got up to 90 (usually pisses past 100?) it does tickover ok now but dosent want to go especially when putting accelerator down.

Could be old or dirty fuel.

Clean the fuel pump and fit an inline fuel filter. Stick a gallon or 4 of shell/bp/esso standard fuel in there.

Also mine ran pretty rough when I had a vaccuum leak between the inlet manifold and the brake servo. (also a 1.2 carb).

if its when you stick the foot down in will be either a fueling or carb issue I'd say.

thats what i thaught mate but ive sorted it now it turned out to be the dizzy cap the contacts were all coroded and crappy, cheers for the help tho
