Right I am in the market for a set of Astra GTE front calipers - all easy upto there but what do I do about discs and pads, are the standard Astra GTE discs and pads enough or do i go the whole hog and get some Black Diamond Drilled and Grooved discs and EBC pads?

well for a start dont get gte calipers as they are just as prone to ceazing as the nova ones. get em off a gsi, or mk3 cav etc

The genuine vauxhall disks with the later cav/astra/vectra calipers are good enough without ripping off you crossmember!

As long as you make sure the calipers are the ATE ones you will be OK, it is stamped on the casting. The discs measure 256mm x 24mm, and they will stop you.
