master cylinder codes

hi,

looking for a new master cylinder for my GTE, and the code is DD, does anyone know what the code ED is from? or will any code fit and work? is the code for the bias set up?

The bias valves are screwed into the mastaer cyl externally so have no reference on the body of the cylinder.

then whats with the differetn lettering? will an ED fit my gte?

no idea. It may be to fit to a different servo.

I popped a servo years back & got a M/C from a breakers only to find the stud spacing on my old servo was diffrerent.... back to the breakers to get the M/C to match the servo I'd bought.

6 months later, servo pops again. Buy another servo from a breakers... different stud spacing...back to breakers, get the M/C....

Do some measurements & if they seem the same, it should fit. Note whether the studs are horizontal. Vertical or even diagonal.

Afaik all nova MCs are the same, as Craig said the bias values are stamped on the bias regulators themselves.

But the fitment pattern can vary (distance between mounting bolt centres)

I stand corrected, i must of been lucky and got the right one when i changed mine,Lol.
