how to fit a 1.4 8v single point out of a astra to a corsa

as it says in the title will it fit my corsa.

as i posted before the engine was misfireing. and now i crashed it into a curb sidways(trying to drift) and poped the front wheel and bottem arm and gearbox and steeing rack. so im giving up on the whole idea of driving for a while but my mate has a lil astra writen off from the rear. that has a good engine am i able to fit this?

astras have the same 1.4engine that is found in 1.4 novas
the corsa engine in nova is a straight swap so yours should be too as it will be the same as fitting a nova engine to corsa .
i think you have to mod the exhaust iirc
i am sure someone will correct my if i am wrong ?

the engine should be a strait swap.

exhaust off the corsa should bolt on aswell.

use the corsa shafts and mounts.

should be it i think.and it should all plug in if its the same engine that you had already.may have missed stuff tho so will prob get corected.

black nova i sold on after i finished and then i got a mini!

um no its the 1.2 I in it atm so what do i have to do to fit this

Cool, a 1.4spi will plug straight in then, if its a 1.2spi.
Same fuel pump etc.

Just remember fit a 1.4 ecu too.

so just use the one out of the astra? whilst ive got the engine out what mods should i do?

You could fit a Sr cam, if you cba, not going add a load of power, but drives nicer.

and thats all i can do. is there any good power mods i can do whilst the engine is out?

How much do you want to spend?

Theres not much you can do without buying a aftermarket cam etc.

i have more all less 2000k + to spend but i dnt want to spend all of it! lol so i was thinking pipercam and a 4 branch but what else can i do i know thes are **** little engines but can u map them is it worth it becasue i have the equipment at my work to do it but i dont have the skill.

The std ecu can't be re-mapped.

You could do a head swap to a 1.4mpi head, and fit a good cam, T40 carbs, 4branch manifold..

It depends entirely what you want, whether you want to keep it as SPI.
