best way to clean my k&n element filter for my 13sr would be......
using stuff lying around at home/garage pls help.
and wots the tool called for getting door pins out of hinges?? sorry i forgot i was told in chat.

hmmmmmm makes me look like a fool!!! :O
ne home made kits etc i was trying to get at as well. neone know any good ideas???
and whats the proper name for pin removal thingy cos i cant say can i have a door hinge pin removel tool to bloke in shop cos ill get a slap.

to remove door pins(the hinge ones?) I used a hammer and a long bit of dead bonnet stay,worked quite well,got 4 doors off so far doin it that way,off mk1 or mk2s,problem theo,is bottom hinge needs hammering up,suggest u do this first,then top,with a mate holding the door,or at least some wood with rag over it to stop it hitting the floor n damaging it,or if u aint gonna use the door,u could cut it off,then remove the pins :-/

The K&N cleaner is just a gimmick, clean it in washing up liquid, let it dry and use auto transmission fluid on it.
