Slow; You need a 1.2, they do like 130mph

The ghey blue monster can do 120 even without an engine

yeah you'll get wasted by most 1.2's though as they can go past mach 2. I got to 340mph in mine the other day but had to back off as i was over taking airplanes and they didnt like it because it was a nova and tried to ram me off the road.

Ive just had a weekend driving my 1.5Td that I got taxed oon Thurs. I would agree they are pretty quick for what they are.

If you catch it right, & it seems to be inconsistent but thay can be a demon overtaking machine, esp up hills. I know there has been debate over whether a Nova SR would be quicker, I struggle to beleive they might. The TD is so torquey & rev to 4.5K rpm. Thats quite good even for a modern diesel.

cant wait to fit my intercooler & bleed valve!

My money would be on the TD over the SR - as soon as the TD gets ahead the SR will be lost in a blinding cloud of exhaust smoke and crash lol

Dont forget to fit that exhaust Craig.... you'll see amazing power gains.

What smoke? Mines clean as a whistle.

I may fit the exhaust but it sits wrong under a mk2 r/bumper so its either get it modified (lengthened) or fit mk1 bumpers. Neither are an option for the minute. However I cant fit my straight through Powerflow system to my GSi as its N/A now, so the powerfolw could end up on the TD maybe.... if it will fit.

Hopefully have her suitably respectfull for the Cheltenham meet. :thumb:

im not trying to say its a fast car im trying to say its faster than i thought.
i drive ford vans at work back to the owners and there sooo slow,

even if the sr did win bet the td will still have got more mpg by a lot.

i was driving a 325i sport and it was costing me about 70-80 a week in petrol now it costs me ?20-30. and i rag it everywhere.
