I don`t know about the fueling side of it, I suppose the ecu will only inject what the AFM tells it to? There are different coolant and oil passages on the 1.6 head I think so the head swap may be a little more than bolt on but don`t take my word for it!:-/

If u swop the head and injection system u will basically have the same engine as the SRi, but with the older injection system, i cant see y it should work. The jetronic system is pretty clever and u should have any running problems!! There is a kit for this engine but only available new at ?780!
I'd give it a go boys! Or just get a GTE engine like i did. O, and did i mention all everything else u haveto do, such as fit HP fuel lines, GTe tank, rear mounted fuel pump, and definetaly a good set of brakes!!
