Right here are pictures of my new turbo set up as it is. I showed you all the manifold i got a few weeks ago, but since have put a vauxhall flange on and now have a external wastegate and turbo.

The turbo is a T34 with a 50 A/R compressor housing and .63 exhaust housing. First problem we came to was fitting it in the front of a corsa, the whole lot takes up loads of room, bascially the turbo is only a few mm from the block and sits on the front cross member. As you can see its not on my corsa, we are fitting it all up on the 4x4 corsa so as not to have mine off the road for ages then just swap it straight onto mine.

There is still alot of fabrication to be done like drilling into the manifold and making a bracket for the external wastegate and down pipe, as now i don thave an internal wastegate i only have one outlet on the outlet of the exhaust housing.

Yeah all looks rather nice but its just rather big, might end up having to move the radiator into the spare wheel well (well that wants to be done anyway). The external wastegate i have has a big dirty screamer pipe that vents straight into atmosphere off the manifold lol, fcuk you donnington park with your noise restrictions.

Im hoping for decent 400+ with this new set up, bare in mind i have nitrous on it still as well

Phil with that manifold set up it should fit realy easy? unless corsa is different set up to the nova? i have plenty of room on the t3 with rad moved forward and twin fans and Rick has room with a t4! should just be a case of 45 degree elbow on inlet, take it you are going to cut off the std t28 flange and not just weld the t3/ t34 one on the bottom?!!:)

Well to be honest the engine in the 4x4 sits alot lower than in mine or any other due to the transfer box needed extra room and hence why there probably as much room as i was expecting. I think the T28 flange migh be staying as that is where the wastegate will be coming out of if that makes sense. Anyway that all needs looked at again anyway as it kind of gets a bit messy around the bottom of the flange, or will do.

yea most bring the external pipe out from just above the turbo flange, seems it can foul the breather pipe though! if space is a problem couldnt you go back to an external actuator/ internal gate set up? neil adams kept this set up on his autronic astra

Looks proper beefy.

Get that screamer pipe coming out the side of the wing ;) Lol

TBH i think that there is a lot less room in the corsa engine bay compared to the nova.

Looks very erm cluttered phil lol

tight fit but should be worth it lol

Sorry still got to disagree with you, have done engine swaps/conversions in both models and find Novas much more roomy and easier to do the conversion on as the engine bay seems much squarer with more room for manouvering.

same here and i think the nova has a lot less room at the front than the corsa for the turbo but the nova has loads more room at the back of the engine by the manifold.

Right got some more work done on it today. Got the turbo all bolted to the manifold properly, down pipe all made up, external wastegate and screamer pipe fitted into position and made up.

Although on the pics you can see the scream pipe goes to far down, just wants trimming.

Nice pipe work :)

Your corsa is now white?

im trial fitting it all onto the 4x4 corsa so its just a straight swap over onto mine, means i dont have to have mine off the road for a long period. It looks a lot sexier than in the pics though lol

Ahh right.

Get it finished and fitted! Looks right beastly

Well the idea is to bring mine over christmas and get it all done then. Already moved my battery into the spare wheels well today as well to give a little more room in the engine bay as that ****s me off as you cant get at anything on that side as its all too cramped.

Also need to get a wide band, got the parts to fit two lamda sensors just need to do that when its all on mine as we're unsure to where they can go without getting in the way of anything.

Looking good phil i reckon with all that power you'll end up using that van to get the power down!! Or work it all out, do all the hard work and use my van!!! mmm... 400bhp 4x4 corsa van!! NICE!! keep us posted!!

I very much doubt that the 4x4 will cope with any more than standard power. Only thing that will let it down is the transfer box, they spit their dummy out at about 200bhp never mind 400bhp lol

Ben

and no disrespect but vaux spen loads sorting out (not very well mind) the equal balance for the 4x4 system so its going to be nigh on impossible to do in a Corsa.

yep true, but then again its like we can make it much worse than it already is. Got to try things though, currently works fairly well in rwd mode with a welded diff. Was useless with the standard rear axle.

As said Phil no disrespect meant, think your projects are always built very well. Just agreeing re the putting 400bhp through a TXB wouldnt work.
