Hi guys, i was thinking of putting those after market bonnet lifters on, only not sure what they're like, seen some on ebay for about 15 quids however.

Has anyone done it? it states they're are easy to fit? ANYONE?

Easy to fit, just bolt to the bonnet and to the wing where there's bolts allready.

I have a tip for you.... if they start squeaking... don't spray them with WD40

You can laugh at me if you like ;)

are they the ones that are like the boot lifters? like little hydrolic sticks that hold the bonnet up? if so do they have to de off a nova or can they be off any car?

thanks a bunch peeps, oh and one last thing, for those that have put then on, did you get rid of the original metal stand to keep the bonnet up (just in case the lifters fails) or got rid? thanks guys....so is this the altimate nova site then, i've looked at quite a few nova site which have been abandoned where the last update was like in 2003 or some out of date stuff like that, only this site seems to be where its all happening, or are there others (sites that is) no that it really matters as this site is really helpful anyways

WD40 is a penetrating fluid.... One of mine had a squeak so I sprayed both with WD40 and the seals ****ed up. After that they never held the bonnet up properly again.
