Just wandering what componants people have got up front.
And what people have found to be the best sound quality and power etc matched up to a good amp.
Any help will go towards looking for new componants.
Thanks, Luke

i got a mate who fits stereos etc and in my opinion is the bollox cos i had about 3k of sounds in my golf and it sounded amazing, then he set it up properly and it just blew me away!! he recomends infinity comps or 6x9s etc if running big power subs as the ifs concentrate more on mid/hi and are very clear, or if runnin average subs use jbl as the have a bit more punch. pro plus are excellent value for money. best advive i ever bin given re stereo. also buy a digital amp, power cap, and a stand alone EQ(i got a sony one and best thing i evere brought for stereo, allows so much fine tuning etc) and get someone in the know to set it up(NOT HALFORDS!!!) stu

I have there in my dash pods, at ?36 they are a very good value speaker (esp compared to Halfords who charge ?65 for them) and produce clear mid and treble, the specs (frequency response etc) say it all in comparison to others in that price range. My 4x45W head unit also has no hope of damaging them. I don't have that much of a hard on about ICE in the Nova as theres so many other noises to compete with. Also, Novas aren't the most secure vehicle and Im not prepared to spend ?100s only for some scrote to bend the door back and have my speakers away!
Focal, Rainbow, Genesis - if the wallet allows mate
i run Focal Utopia 2 ways in my other car and yeah they cost me a few quid, but WOW :D

In my opinon as an ex-car audio installer and the fact that i've fitted hundreds of different setup's into loads of different cars, the best setup that i use is simply 6" inch comps in the front (tweeters in the dash) and a single 12" in the rear. Unless you want mega huge bass, in which case buy whatever the **** ya like cos it will sound **** anyway!
I have never had any problems with either Diamond, DLS or JL just make sure you amp the fronts as well!

Im not exactly looking for huge bass from the subs, hence why im only having 1 12" soon, just using the two that ive got at the moment til i sort things out.
And yes when i get componants, they will be amped!
