XE nova+ driveshafts

Hiya, ive got a GTE with a XE conversion, and was wondering what driveshafts it should have in it?

Reason i ask is that my driveshaft has popped out, and the garage is telling me that i need special shafts made up or something. Sounds like bollox to me!

to have the xe conversion you need to have 22 spline shafts found in gsi's and some TD's..

however the garage could be on about you needing a set of motorsport shafts which are stronger than standard ones iirc?

you can buy them from chris astley.

ask them why they have said that and ask why you cant just use the same type in there opinon

u need some gte 22 spline shafts with mk 2 cav 1600 inner cvs

well, apparantly, someone who works there said that "his mate" had to change the shafts cos they kept popping out, but mine has been ok till i changed the gearbox, then the day after, the passenger side one came out. :S

ok, but would the standard GTE ones not fit in the gearbox then? as they do go in.

i think its more to do with torque etc. but who kno's
