For some reason when i enter a section of the forum (e.g general chat)
although the little column on the right says the new topics, when i enter its like it hasnt been updated for a few days and still has all the old posts up.
As in its physically not showing new posts, or it just doesn't mark them as new?

Internet settings perhaps... does it display posts when you crtl (or is it shift) & click on refresh?

if i open the page amnd then refresh it then yeah it works but that really sucks!
try clearing your cookies
Could be the browser using a stored copy of the page from the cache rather than looking for a new one each time. It'll be in the settings somewhere... can't remember where though off the top of my head.
yeah, good call RJ, go to tools, options, clear ALL records. (that is of course if IE uses the same menu settings as Avant, which i use. Its IE based, so it should be.)

even if its not, you can always open the CP and do it from there. It will affect what ever browser your useing...

There's your problem... AOL funds terrorism! lol
It's definately a problem with your broswer using a cached version of the page. Nothing we can do about it our end, you'll have to fix your browser settings.
A friend of mine who had the misfortune of being with AOL (why is a company called America On Line so popular in the UK... at least go with UK Online lol) used to use their software to get a connection, then use Firefox or IE for web use.

The governnent have obviously hacked your computer in an indirect attempt, (by changing your settings) to reduce your novaload usage! :P
