Now i've started on a buying spee for my car, i've always wondered if i'll need an oil cooler on my proposed engine setup? i noticed that baxter has one for sale atm, so answers asap please.

Fully rebuilt

Hopefully looking for about 130-140ish bhp

Little bro has one on his 1.9 GTI golf.

As Stu said they're not needed on mild cars.

even non "mild" cars dont need them as such.. Jim, Dan, CP etc never run/ran them on their crazy ass engines.

its only if your oil gets above about 110degrees that you either need a cooler (and a very carefully chosen one at that) or better oil.
