Saloon exhaust

Whats the difference between a std Nova hatch exhaust and a Saloon one? Would an exhaust designed for a hatch fit a saloon, except the tailpipe stops short underneath?

[edit]Any differences between normal and GTE/GSi ones as well? I've seen this on ebay:

...thought the tailpipe looked a bit long for a Nova exhaust so might be suited to a Saloon...

bingo, stops about a foot short. i just debaffled mine and put a nice shiny tip on it, sounds half decent, and better than some other "modified" cars out there.

ive just got a sportex system with the middle box removed - then got local exhaust place to make me a back box etc

my mate then decatted his 1200i hatch with my old saloon system

nah that picci's for a hatch, but some tailpipe modification and i't;ll look sweet on a sally

i,ve had the same problem with mine,the centre pipe is the same and i,m having my old gsi back box extended at my local powerflow

quality,and its a 4 door sally my old hatchback used to do that with its old peco big bore on,glad to say i,ve grown up now lol

Sounds a bit too raspy for my liking. Might just get a hatch system from fleabay, take the rear box off and sell it on, then get the local Powerflow place to make me up a rear box with extended tailpipe.

my mate has a full sportex system on his sally with just the tailpipe lengthened it seems to work ok ? personnally i just make whatever backbox i want fit:thumb:

lol i do exactly the same! just get the welder out lol

i quiet like the look of salloons when you can see a nice round backbox etc, looks nice.

Jack... I've been reading through a few of my brothers VAG mags and there is going to be a big swing toward hidden exhausts... might be a good opportunity to jump on the band wagon... especially if your gonna eventually go Euro

Yes thats how you do it the chavs favourite, although its better on an after market full system. I can remember driving around in a sr which i did that in, the amount of people that hit the deck thinking they were being shot at lol
