Ok folk as some of you may know, i am building myself a track car for a play toy with the help of my mates Pete at Starkmotorsport (http://www.starkmotorsport.com) and Ecka,
So we begin with a GSi that i bought from a mate of mine, Tbh i never really had a good look over it and i kinda regret it now, it looked ok to start with,
But after starting to strip it we found that it was a lot worse that we originally thought.
Here some pics of when i bought it

it then went away to get stripped to a bare shell to see what was really the case with it, as you can see its in very bad condition

now anyways, moving on, i decided that the old shell was well boyond repair ( i wonder how) so i bought a 1.2 from a guy that we know for a decend amount,

http://www.scottishnovas.co.uk/nova-rebuild/new-shell/DSC02369.jpg
From our first look over it its seems solid enough and in good nick, but it needed some work done the the offside rear quarter,

http://www.scottishnovas.co.uk/nova-rebuild/new-shell/DSC02492.jpg
http://www.scottishnovas.co.uk/nova-rebuild/new-shell/DSC02374.jpg
It was definatly better than the last shell thats for sure lol
And the best part was the brand new 6 point saftey devices cage that came with the car lol

So onto the next stage of the project, this entailed removing all unnessesery metal work, i.e front and rear seat mounts, etc etc
and removing all the tar like sound deadning from the floors and roof and preppeing for the welding to start.
I also removed the offside rear quarter to fit a new panel that i go onto it.

not full decided on the engine, i have a fully rebuilt 1600 8v out of the white one that i done thats was going to be getting the turbo kit i had.

But due to the rules if i wanted to compete i bumps me well up the classes so i sold it.

So now i am trying to decide to build my other 1600 8v of find a 1600 16v
