Fitted my cesaros to the new nova this weekend and found that when I go round roundabouts/turn right that the n/s rear wheel scrubs. now it deffinately doesnt on the outer arch as its been folded up so im guessing its somewhere on the other side i.e. on the inner. thing is cesaros are ET49 and the tyres are 195/50/15 and ive never had a problem on any other nova.
Any ideas?
Also how do I sort it out? Was thinking a mallet and plank of wood or something maybe?

When mine was lowered 60mm, mine used to rub sometimes, even with 195/45 tyres.

Its the 195/50 tyres causing you problems, have a look inside the arch, probably rubbing up on the inner arch by the shock on the rear.

i had that on a previous gte on 15s, if i jacked it up on rear beam so wheels were off ground but at same hieght in arch they'd rub, either use thin spacer or i just attacked mine with a hammer(fine calibration instrument) as i have little patience n believe in "wen in doubt give it a clout"

tbh 50 profile doesnt seem too bad or offensive compared to the 45 and like I say the other side doesnt scrub, going to opt for trying a small spacer first.
Anyone know what size the smallest one is, I think a couple of mm should do the trick as the arches are already rolled

3mm should do.

I tried a 3mm spacer, but it made them rub on the outer arch,Lol.

take the wheel off, there will probably be a scuff mark on the inner arch if it's bee rubbing it. just take a good sized hammer to that area, so long as you don't use a small faced hammer the underseal should remain intact. I find a 5lb sledge best for this kinda thing.

Its probably the rear beam tolerance. New bushes or a small shim should stop it. I run Cav GSi rims with Yoko '50's & dont get any rubbing. (mk2)

Ye thats the same on mine, rear beam is slightly over more on one side, only my OS/R rubbed, NS/R was fine.

never had it on any higher spec models like SR, SRi, GTE, GSi but always seems to happen on my poverty spec ones. Think its just coincidence though.
Will try the spacer first and then probably the hammer, then if that doesnt sort it ill try bushes. If its still NOT sorted ill run steelies lol lol lol
