Hi for those that dont kno am 17, turned 17 on the 24th october lol
so i thought i needed a car heard of this nova from a m8 in a garage and well i must say it is pretty mint, am sorry for not having a pictures but i need to sort camera out lol!
Her name is Harriet (am i the only one to name a car here lol?)
She is a Vauxhall Nova Life, Reg J Mark 2. Dark red.
She has 87k miles on the clock and is a 1.0litre
She looks sooo sexy when Harri arrived i wantted to run around the house nude screamin i have a car..
But hey i cant drive yet, still doin lessons but the time will come :D

Know how you feel, my first first car was an Austin Maestro, it was the biggest pile of sh1te on the planet, but it was mine, and i loved it! Didnt even drive it on the road as i bought a corsa when i passed my test, and i didnt love it half as much as the austin sh1tbox.
Sounds like you have a belting little car to learn in, those engines are indestructible! And no doubt the poor thing is going to lose all its paint from the polish abuse its about to recieve!

lol, i was thinking of more hardcore ways of killing it than a brick unless your thinking of putting the brick down the intake with a very big hammer.
lool, i wouldnt say 'good' lol , but they do tend to be bulletproof, mainly due to the complete lack of any power or torque though lol

that might be pushing it to be fair, and even if it could get up to that speed the noise coming from the little pushrod would make you cry.
That 1.2i i killed eat quite a few bricks and it didnt even miss a beat lmfao
pmsl, i drove a 1.0 to a scrapyard with no doors, bumpers, bonnet, tailgate, interior or dash. It was still slow, and i think a fart weighed less at that point.
But despite keeping my foot planted in 1st all the way there, it didnt skip a beat!

My 1lt is running GTe box internals (so i belive) and it takes an age to get to mway speed.
My first 1lt (4speed) used to hit around a ton (on a downhill private road) never ran right after though

lol 1.0 Novas you gotta love them!! mine toped out at 92mph lol n that was reving its tits off big style!! My 1.2 i had 103mph and that wasnt to bad handling wise lol but my 1.0 does 50mpg so i aint changin the engine till i get paid more lol :thumb:
Ah, I started off in a 1.0 banger. it never missed a beat, however much I ragged the engine - was my pride and joy - wasn't really worth stealing, you can't joy-ride a 1.0 :wtf: I'd catch them up on my push-bike too easy.... although, back then it never felt slow. Hit 98mph (speedo reading), on the motorway, downhill, with a good backwind lol so.... about 85mph.
But, I passed my test, and found a newer, clean SRi...

1.0's are pretty bombproof. My mate had a 37k merit back in 95 & we used to get an indicated ton 4 up on the motorway. That was screaming mind you.
But tough little engines & probably more fun than a 1.2i.

Indestructable?? First night driving my nova i bent a valve in my 1.0 lol no joke. So im afraid to horse my new 1.0 engine lol. I no how u feel dude i got my car when i was 16 and its ur pride and joy just because its yours lol. BTW mine was a burgundy red 1.0 lol, sprayed it black though lol.

mine does 115mph, think gm were having a good day saying that i reckon the speedo is probably out so maybe 105 lol

good l;ad just dont do anything silly, i was like that when i bought my car, passed my test and within two weeks i bent a valve and snapped 2 fingers lol, but shes still my pride and joy, (its fooooking rapid too) and love it when people see a nova and think that he'll race you, i love winding them people up at lights :d :d :d, big kid really lol, good luck matey!!!

My 1.2i makes it up to 80, nothing happens after that. Maybe push a 100 going down a big hill with the wind behind me :D oh well nevermind.

my mate used to have a 1.0 saloon merit i can still recall the look of the laguna driver as we flashed him to pull out of the way in the fast lane on the a1 windows down and 4 people in lol musnt have been far of blowin it up lol
