i dunno how many people had seen my car on here, i'd bin building it for 3years updateing pics of it all the way, and now last night some T*AT stoved me up the a*se in a traffic light que and writ it off, i am the most gutted i have ever bin in all my life! fort i'd show some pics of it before it finally goes to rest!

yea decleared apsolutly everything luckley, and had an agree'd vale of 4grand, the insurance assor's coming to look at it today, spent four hours up the hospital with whiplash! ache today!!

So, what are you going to do now?
I reckon thats repairable.... expensive (possibly written off due to cost if it goes over ?2k) but repairable.

na mate i work in a body shop, its shafted, hard! boot floors gone inner and outer quaters, light panels, rear panel, boot, bumpers, grille, front panel, front crossmember, radiator and front of wings.

Looks like you spent a lot of time, effort & money on that chap. Really sorry about your loss. I guess its a sign from above toi move on to better & more modern things...?

alrite tob's, it happened last night, was up the hospital till gone midnight. i was in a que sitting at trafficlights which were on red and some to$$er in a brand new citroen C4 ploughed me up the ar$e and pushed me into the car in front, no skid marks or anything. feels like my spines bin welded to my neck 2day! propper stiff. gotta wait for all the insurance and that to go through then i'll prob break it, or mite jst keep it as an ordiment in my garden! lol! beleive me i am gutted to the max!!
tbh looks like the huge bumpers took most of the impact mate. its repairable, but it will take abit of time

Thats what I thought, but seems the damage is worse than cosmetic.

Shame, not a fan of kits myself but it looked well done... and its never good when you end up with a Nova sandwich!
Whats the damage like to the other cars involved?
the car in front was jst an old dogger mk5 escort, wrekon that's written off, and the car that hit me was a brand new citroen C4, which have plastic wings and bumpers which all bounced back into place but rekon all the front is mullered underneith, hit me bloody hard!!:tard:

well ok-ish, bin walking round like a robot all day with mondo stiff back and neck! and greeving!
stop telling him its repairable lol, hes a beater and knows what a write off looks like. With no cage in there, the poor things probably broken its back in a few pages, even jigged up it'll probably never feel the same.
Next time, fit a cage, they dont just keep YOU safe!
i'd taken out the spare wheel well to fit the exhausts, and welded a plate in and braced the chassis legs with box section, it held up well, just kind of eliminated the crumple zone vauxhall put in there tho! :tard:

yeah sounds like the stupid bint hint u well hard then.cant belive that its happened.was by far the best nova iv ever seen.did the person in the c4 get hurt? hope they atleast smacked there head on the stering wheel.such a shame for u mate as i got abit of an idea about how much u loved this car.dont see it as uv wasted 3years tho.spose u can get ur claim and get something newer. if u make ur claim will they take the nova away and scrap it tho?as you have got money for the car and surley shudnt be able to keep the car aswell.my mate had this with his moped and he brought the bike off the insurance company for cheap.duno if it will be the same for you tho.

If the insurance company write your car off, they'll pay out the value - less your excess - and more than likely offer you a very cheap price to buy it back.
dang :wtf: sorry to hear that. I'm no fan of kitted novas, but respect where it's due, the amount of work that's been thrown into that car looks immense.
Yes, the insurance company will own the wreck if they decide to write it off, however, you'll be able to buy it back quite cheaply as it's "only a nova" - break it for parts, and either start a new project with what's left, or sell them off for more compensation.

gotta wait and see what the insurance situation is, being evatuated tomorrow, hopefully will be able to keep the car got loads that can come off it!
its just been assed by the insurance assesor and they'r looking at giving me 3500grand and keep the car :) :)

Does that 3.5 k include personnal injury?

no way! thats gutting mate! i thought i was gutted when someone drove in to my rear quater! and that made me feel sick! and is nowhere near as bad as yours and the ammount of work thats been put into it aswell!
a nice sum of money tho fella! try and get a claim on whiplash now!
should be getting 3500grand and keep the car, still got least 700-800quids worth of bits i can still sell off it and got a whiplash claim going thru aswel. so considering i only had the car up for sale for 3grand i should had a fair chunk of cash coming my way! doesnt make me any less gutted though! :cry:
when the insurance is all finalised i'll let everyone on here have first dibs on all the bits, had loads of people asking me already and it only happened sunday! lol

Yeah mate thats guttin can only imagine how id feel if that was my car,but on the bright side ull get paid out for the car and whiplash minimum is around ?2300 but just tell docs ur havin migranes,u cant sleep and u keep goin dizzy and that will bump ur payment up considerably and u will allways get paid out for a whiplash cus doctors cant prove u havnt got it.

never take the first offer they give you,they HAVE to pay out for whiplash but they will start theyre offers low so they save money but just refuse them till they offer you a decent amount.

yea will be braking it once the insurance finally pull their finger out! it got hit on the 12th november, assesed on the 15th november and got all the finalised agreed values about a week later, but still waitin for it all to be total finalised!
not too worried as ive been wizzing around in their courtsey car for the last 7weeks, and still got it 7 days after the cheque finally comes through!
insurance stillllll goin through! :mad:
am thinking about reserecting it........
