Lo
got std 1.3 sr brakes, and at highish speeds like 50 onwards, braking moderatly-hard i get juddering...
how can this be fixed and what is it?
the calipers seem to move in an out, is this normal? are the holes for the bolts for the calipers worn so that it vibrates?
just need to sort it

what do you mean by "they move in and out"? it could be a warped disc, but only very slightly so that at high speeds it seems bad. if its that just get new discs and make sure yer caliper sliders are in mint condition

warped disks, get some vented ones, as they`l keep doing it if u drive hard.

BTW you need wider calipers for the vented discs

Dicko means most, or at least his :)
I'd say warped discs too... You couldn't get massif brakes under your current wheels anyway rich so yep you'd need 15's, then just get some Astra GSi discs and calipers but check yer subframe isn't proper rusty cuz u mite be able to break it otherwise with big brakes :)

check ur steering joints and drive shaft aswell, suspension mounts, if any of these are loose they can also cause a bit of juddering

Go for genuine disks, most aftermarket ones are s h i t. I`ve had genuine valver disks on mine for 8 months and they`re still spot on!

Bah, mine judders at 95 and 60ish whilst braking hard, but i've had my discs off and they r not warped. So i really dont know, but there is a bit of play in my steering rack, so that could b the prob!

Who did the tracking Stevie Wonder? Go back and complain, is the front camber OK or do the tops of the wheels lean in due to lowering?
