how bad are they to live with?

any body noticed any extra stress on the shell because of them?

Theyre not too bad to live with, if you like permanent vibration throughout the whole car! And of course the stress on the shell is gonna be hugely increased as the rubber mounts usually absorb the vibration!

But they are well worth it, best money i EVER spent on my nova!!

where is the best place to get them and is there any differant types? ie stronger etc?

Good post there.

Basically, the torque etc produced by the engine, goes into moving the driveshafts, and not moving the engine itself.

Indeed they do!

Also helps with reducing the pendulum effect upon lifting off the accelerator, reducing lift off oversteer!

Extremely highly reccomended!!!

The standard nova rubbers cant even hold 1lt in place without the rubbers splitting and falling apart so anything improved on them is a bonus.

lol i looked at my mounts yesterday, and the look as if the engine is about to fall out there that bad! (standard one's obviously)

Me too, ive seen valvers with big manifold dents in the rad from severe engine rock!

I dont need to say how good they are as Stu is spot on, probably the best mod I ever did too.

I am indeed a member, i used to do some steel mounts for ?115 but i cant source one of the bushes anymore so i buy them in, they are from the same supplier as protec but work out at nearly ?40 cheaper!

The new bolt is for the top right one in the picture, fit the mount to the steel engine bracket and fit them together, the bolt should face away from the chassis leg or it wont fit in!

Glad they turned up mate!
