Burgo made them fit with "some angle grinding".
I've got 256x20mm Cav TD brakes under mine with "considerably more than 'some' angle grinding" lol.

(they've since been treated with kurust+painted).
iv taken loads off of my calipers with the grinder and they are still a bit to big so im just going to get some spacers i think

they're just about the only origional vauxhall 14" alloy that wont fit without grinding the caliper, any 14" alloy from an astra or cavalier will fit with no bother.
Nova GSi alloys are 5J wide, all the others are 5.5J" which makes all the difference.

does the extra width make them easier to fit?
it makes them fit as opposed to making them easier to fit lol

id say ideally a good thing to do would be to fit a pair of td etc 20mm thickness discs which will bring the caliper back from the spokes of the wheel a couple of mil?

Mine are 256x20mm pictured above, they still took a fair amount of angle grinder persuasion.
