Merc 5 stud = 5x112

Sorry to piss on your campfire there lol

no biggy, use hubcentric adapters to adapt from 4x100 to 5x112, roll the arches to suit, big pimping

Took the words out my mouth, Hubicentric adapters! spacer and stud conversion in one!!

Good plan, apart from the small problem of the merc rims being 35 offset. Add the 10mm or so the Hubicentric adaptor, and you have a wheel offset of approx ET25.

There aint a arch roller in the world that will give you THAT much clearence lol

Its just cos your used to lardy arches stu!

if its goin on a saloon just go for it - if theyre 16's clearance shouldnt be a problem with rolled lips, i was goin to put audi rims on mine

MERCEDES

P.C.D. 5 x 112
Offset 35..42
C/Bore 66.5

280SL, 600SL
P.C.D. 5 x 112
Offset 18..25
C/Bore 66.5

A Class, Vito
P.C.D. 5 x 112
Offset 45..50
C/Bore 66.5

Sprinter
P.C.D. 5 x 130

So a 5 stud conversion with some wobbly bolts might work!

I sure as heck wouldn't trust a stud adapter thats any less than 25mm wide. If you use a 10mm one - assuming you could actually get one - IMO its no different from having your wheels held on by 10mm of bolt thread!

there was a corsa on porsche rims in the carpark at pv. that looked good :thumb:

Surely the wheels can have the inner face machined back some to help with the clearance?

Just flare the arches if not. Would look terribly rude.

I'm guessing it depends how much metal there is!

Lot of work but fair play if you do it.

seen the corsa, there aslso a purple let nova now sitting on porsche rims, if merc n porsche rims fit a vw and porsche wheels fit vaux then surely its possible to get the merc rims on??

Of course, anything is possible with money, a little engineering work, adapters and shocking F1 style offsets.
I think buying ?1200 Merc wheels without researching the subject of PCD and Offset was a little reckless myself.

If they are worth ?1200, then sell them and spend the cash on some wheels that are designed to fit, and use the change for something useful

You could use some 'wobble bolts' they allow you to fit wheels with a slightly different PCD, seen Volvo T5 wheels on Cav Turbos before and there 5x112 i think ?!
So all you'd need to do is a 5 stud conversion (not that difficult) and get your self some wobble bolts (have seen them on the web, but cant mind where!).
The ET35 rims will be ok if you roll the arches, the centre is slightly bigger (Vaux is 65.1) so you might need to sort some spigot rings, but other than that i reckon they'd be ok.
Go for it !!

Might be of some use .... http://www.performancealloys.com/alloy_wheels_adaptors.asp
Also do a Google search for 'Varibolts'.
