i was just curious on how easy it is to fit one and what it would go like oh and i want it t be carb

Big block iirc - 90bhp. I would assume it'd use the same mounts as the 2.0 8v/16v, but don't quote me on that.

Better off fitting a 1.6 MPi engine, or if you really want carbs, 1.6T40.

For the weight of it it's not really worth it. Simlar performance could be seen from a more or less stock 1.6 lump and that's less work in the bay.

As these guys have said, the 1.8 8v is a waste of time.
If you still wanna do it you'll have to ... mod the front engine mount / chop chassis leg to clear alternator / cut & shut the manifold to fit / sort gear linkage / sort some shafts as you'll have to run an F16 or F20 box .... pretty much what you've gotta do to stick a 16v motor in !!
Is this gonna be going in the fat pink beast ?

its just that it got a 2.0 8v already in it but has a hole were piston came thru so was looking at a cheaper alternative due 2 it not bein my main car just gonna be a car to mess about in really but think another 2.0 8v be goin back in it now cos sounds like no point doin it 1.8 thanks 4 help anyways peps
