1-Early ones have a dizzy, late ones have DISpak(no dizzy)
2-10/40w Vauxhall Semi Synth
3-Standard plugs, NGK/GM

yup as above. i find dizzy blocks easier to work on but i suppose its each to there own i guess. as for the plugs dnt use them ****y twin spark things, just a joe blogs standard ngk is better.

ok cool. Cheers for that. So can you adjust the timing with the dizzy ones at all?

nope, not as such. as it is a dizzy setup you do have advance and retard but were talking v minimal difference. as for timing just make sure the pistons are tdc at each stroke and your well away, you could be a tooth out on the belt and it will run like a gammy giraffe mate you'll know if it needs timing up lol. then the only other thing to change would be the air/fuel ratio screw on the air flow sensor but i'd leave this untill you can get a emissions check done. hope that helps.
