superchip - cheap, but useless really lol

re-mappable ecu - expensive to buy, expensive to install, but fantastic gains can be had if the engine is built properly from scratch.

In my opinion, if you're only changing the cam, leave it on standard management and fit a bigger throttle body perhaps

i beg to differ, super chips ARE next to useless if you decide to chip a standard NA engine purely for the performance gains. A chip will give you a more efficient engine if mapped properly, and IMO its essential if you do 'mild' mods like a cam, gas flowing and timing adjustments, to ensure you get the most out of them.

Stand alone ECU's only really become the better option when you venture into Throttlebodies, Big nitrous installs, or tuning Turbo engines to the max.
