Right Guys and Girls,
I want your suggestions, I have a 1.4sr with a K&N and Piper Evo 3 Back Box and a Strut brace. I have a budget of about ?250=. I want to improve the power and performance of my engine without converting the engine. What would you suggest I do with the cash ??

Any ideas (serious ones)

2 cheers for the Man Utd imposter !!!

Put a free flow zorst system onto the existing manifold. Jetex do one like this and it won't cost u anything like ?250. Match the inlet ports to the inlet manifold and the exhaust ports to the exhaust manifold by careful grinding or filing so that are no steps etc to impede gasflow. Check that the gaskets blend in as well.
Then get it properly tuned on a rolling road

4 branch manifold i felt more performance with it on than my weber 32/34 did but put a 1.6 in it now i it would kill the old engine

I agree with ste sort the suspension and brakes, you will go so much faster than if you did any engine work because you can carry the speed through corners. You should be able to find astra brakes and suspension in the trader have a look. It worked for my 1.4 you could drive it flat out everywhere and didnt have to stop for much, but when you want to stop you can. Unusual for a nova that one

point to point brakes will give you the better upgrade as you can brake later. so as ste sed sort the brakes and sus out.
