I have a Nova 1.3SR and I have got 120mph top speed out of it with 3 people in it. My car is 100% standard.

1.6 GTE with Piper full system and a ramair induction kit = 130 mph ( very scary, never again )

I did 198mph racing a police Chopper....in 3rd gear!! uphill wiv 10 people in the car (naked) on a country lane at night wiv the lights out....and my car is only a 1.4SR wiv Ashley Zorst and K&N filter...i'm goin Nascar racing when i get me Kent Cam in :o)

Well got my 1.3 off the clocks in 4th, and carried on going in 5th!!!! Fairly standard engine! I'm not lying!

1.4sr indicated 136mph with speedo over reading by 5mph at 70mph (10% over read is normal)

All your cars sound well slow (accept RoRn200).

I got 152mph out of my 1.2 spin in reverse goin off road.

Along with my many modifications, I recon that the one giving the most power is the upside-down mounted exhaust manifold giving me 4 lovely exhausts petruding from my bonnet (each a big bore 0.5).

Anyone up 4 a race!!!

how standard was the 1.4 sr that did 136mph? l haven't had my 1.4 long but l've only had 107 out of it, but l had 120 out of my 1.3sr which seemed quicker and used lots less fuel do l have a carburettor prob?

ste's 1.4 sr that did 136 was actually bored out to a 1.5 if i'm not mistaken!!

my sr did not push it all the way but i got 125mph @6000rpm

Ish mate which gear are you in. Mine'll do 125 indicated in 4th but only 110 in 5th

I guy I know had 152mph on the motorway out of his 2.0 16v with 3 in the car, then bottled it.

it was std a 1.4 at the time i did 136 it broke the next day hence the 1.5 conversion

Nothing at all to do with this post, but i thought it was funny anway. When i had my Uno Turbo, me and a couple of mates were in a multi story car park and decided to see if my turbo would come on in reverse. I botted it in reverse and slammed the brakes on just before flying of the edge! IT DID!! :D & it was the loudest dump valve noise i have EVER heard! :)

I dont know how fast mine goes the needle was bouncing off the pin, so it must have been over 135 maybe 140, felt quick though:D
