Best to date is a 12.6@113mph, but over the winter i am fitting a progressive controller for the nitrous, a bottle warmer (which its needed from the start lol ) and a T34 turbo with external wastegate.

Take it all these times have been at Pod ? Anyone ran at Crail / York before ?
Ran 14.1 @ 104 mph at Crail the other month, time doesn't seem to good against you guys tho, reckon with some decent tyres and a couple of more goes i could get in to the high 13's which i'd be happy with.
Gonna have to wonder down to Pod for a blast sometime.

Not being funny but everyone complains its to slippy/it was to hot blah blah blah. Alot of it is down to the person on the day. I have only ever ran on boiling hot days (28-30 degree's) which is unfortunate, and even on those days the people who have ran not so good blame the track also, yet i've never had a problem. (not being cocky btw, you should see my unfortunate consistancy when trying to better my times on various different days/years lol)

I dont think your being cocky at all mate its just that iam inexperianced when it comes to proper drag racing so i wouldnt know if the track was made of marmite or concrete:tard:. I personally thought the track was a wee bit slippy but fine as i got better each time almost beating a punto gt turbo. And almost beating something with a bigger and more powerfull engine will do for me:thumb:

ive only ever run at the total vaux show and fast show, 6 runs in total n both were rather hot days!!! maybe get a meet at pod??

Philsutton
07-11-06, 08:40 PM
to be fair my best times have been when its been hot, but thats because i dont have a bottle warmer for the nitrous and on the cold days there was nigh on no pressure in the bottle.

makes me laugh when people complain about not getting grip with about 100bhpish lol, another thing to try is to alter your tyre pressures. I run about 4psi of in my front tyres when im at pod

H15 NVA
07-11-06, 08:43 PM
4!!!?? i run around 15, was wdvised to run this by gaz with purple corsa that runs 11.58, its throttl bodied xe with 150/200 shot of nos, won fwd redline ten of the best

Philsutton
07-11-06, 08:51 PM
yes i know the purple corsa i was at totb as well, what you have to bare in mind is that once youve cleaned your tyres the pressure in them wont be what it was before it will have increased to about 20psi.

Its 11.85 not 11.58 as well i think last i heard.

16.3 in my white 1 with the sri engine
15.2 in my white 1 with the sri engine and nos
14.8 in october in the 2.0l 8v had a little isue of my gear linkage come loose after the first run so the rest of my runs that day were crap and i drove home with just 3rd and 4th lol i was also on budget tyers so if i take it again im going to have a set of R888s (i think thats what there called) on the front and hopefully i will get gears instead of running in 1st and 4th lol

phill i think i spoke to you at the pod in october i was the lad who ran the 2.0l 8v with the bonnet off second run i did i was 18 seconds or so cause i only had first and 4th lol

Wish I ran my 1600T at the Pod. Wouldve been interesting to know what it was capable of. really learnt how to effectively launch that mofo too.

Guess I'll have to build another one day.
