Urgent Help Needed Please!

Hiya, just changing the gearbox on my nova, and was wondering what way around the "C" goes on the linkage system. Is it towards the g.box end, or the gearstick end?

where it bends. Basically, ive bought a quick shift and need to know which way it goes around. it has a bend in it that looks like a c shape with ball-ends by the side.

the only 'c' bit i can see anywhere near the linkage wraps around the speedo cable, with the staright bit pointing towards the engine. hope that helps!
