not that loud no, mine reaches 88 decibels at 6000rpm

89 decidles is legal road limit. Ive got a full system with a Sportex manifold.

Ashley system's are ?127 (exluding p&p)

Ashley exhuasts: 01922 720 767

ive got a 1.2spi on a standard manifold , with a custom de-cat pipe , it used to 'just' have a 'piper' backbox on , which was loud'ish , i then bought a 'ashley' downpipe , my car then turned into a 'touring car' , the noise was feckin awesome , in my experience 'ashley' exhausts are loud as feck !!!
just how i like them :thumb:

Anyone know where you can have your decibels measured for the exhaust!

Also if they found it to be too high, can they actually do anything ?

Currently got a custom made straight through performance exhaust made by infinity-from the down pipe. Looking to get a 4-2-1 manifold too.

the only problem that i know of with ashley exhausts is that they can drop... my housemates xr2 is fitted with one and he had it welded to stop it.

finally got my gte tuned with the group a exhaust on... :D :thumb: pulls so much better. had a stainless steel mongoose exhaust before and janspeed 4 into 1 manifold and that was noticeably better than standard and i thought that was good. before with the mongoose it would fizzle out around 5500, now it pulls to 7k and doesnt loose any power. as defiantely free'd up the engine.

i know it's not stainless steel so it will rust, but so will ashley, and this was ?100 cheaper ;)

If your planning on keeping your car for a long time I'd spend the extra money on a mongoose.

I've recently put one on my GTE and was well impressed with the fit. PLus you've got the added bonus that being stainless steel it wont rust. I cant tell you how it sounds though as I've still got to fit the rad. I've also got the sportex 4-1 manifold.

i've noticed more power from the group a to the monggose system. although your right... stainless steel wont rust.
