i hve just swoped my non running corsa b for a nova trip 1.0 with a 1.2 sr engine (well dats what ive been told it is) it need new rear arches welding in and a new passenger front wing and a slam pannel the engine has a slight rattle but can onli be herd wen cool and the exhaust has been butcherd and it need a new paint job just looking for advise as to were i use it to get me to work till it dies or do i doa rolling project any help is very welcome

dats what the lad said sumit about been it's an old 1.2sr on a four speed box but i didnt know they dun a 1.2sr

there never was a 1.2 sr, and the 1.3 sr is just a standard 1.3 engine & 5 speed box with a low ratio diff, some nice wheels and a great interior

The SR's had nothing special about the engines, it was only trim, suspension and wheels that were different. And only came with 1.3 and 1.4 engines. Whats the engine code?

mmmmm sounds like it oh well learn by mistakes so how much is it gonna cost me to get it decent looking just found the petrol tank is leaking

some of the basics u cud probs do urself, ie is it the tank leaking or just one of the hoses (have had that on mine twice!) and u can pick an engine up cheap enuff from ebay or scrapyard.
