hi all,

after a very long day of clutch fitting... (one problem after another) i decided to top the gearbox oil up as i lost some when taking the end cover off.
i tried filling it up through the breather on the top, but got a tiny bit in before it bubbled over.

is there an easier way??

thanks
chris

its a 17mm nut on top of the box, has a hole in (breather). Or did you try and pour it in the little hole in the top?

 silly me, i knew it was a breather, but didn't know that it was also a nut that un-did...

lol dont worry, you'll find it much easier to fill up if you remove this

Only speaking from experiance of an F20 but there is a level plug buy the inner CV (End of the long drive shaft) bit of a pain to get to. I can show a piccy if it would help.

level plug to the right of the left-hand inner cv joint, 13mm, remove it and fill until oil starts to come out, then stop filling it. let the excess out and tighten back up. Make sure the cars level first aswell.
