View Full Version : lowering springs
i have a 1.2 sx and planning getting 60mm lowering springs would i get away with just springs or will i need shockers 2??
Unless you want the springs randomly to fall out, then yeah uprated dampers are recommended lol
You can hold the springs in with cable ties or suchlike, but tbh I'd rather have the better handling and peace of mind myself.
Uprated shocks matched to the springs fo sho mate, it will cost more but it makes all the difference. Add a rear anti roll bar if you don't have one already as well!

Imagine your tired old shocks with new stiff springs... not a good cominbation.
Springs are around ?60 but you will eventually end up buying a full kit so you may as well save a little longer and fork out for a kit.
Cheapest kits are around ?180
I'd try to save and get the best suspension you can afford, buying a cheap kit will probably only lead to you having to buy another kit when the shocks start to leak or something.
