fuel pumps and 2L novas

I got a 2LSri engined nova here, but i need to up rate the fuel pump cos it only revs to 5000!!! is it just a matter of getting an SRi one and doing a direct swop for my original? are all the connections the same? or will i need someone to fuck about with the ECU etc. . . ?. please help ?

??? The fuel pump sends loads of fuel to the fuel rail, the fuel presure regulator keeps the presure in the rail at a pre set level sending any unwanted fuel back to the tank via the return pipe. A standard pump should be more than good enough for the 2.0 engine (I think)unless it is faulty? 1. Is the rev counter correct? 2. Is the acellerator cable adjusted correctly? I used a cav SRi pump.
