View Full Version : wiring up light up sun visors
right while i was raping an SR for dash parts i thought id take the sun visors aswell, you know the ones that have the flap with a light and mirror behind.
theres 2 wires that come from the visor, a red one and a black one. what do you connect these wires to?
help apprieciated, lew
just a live and a earth lew , there are switched on the flap iirc :thumb:
right live and earth, so where do i put them? LMFAO
cheers for the quick reply riggy
The sunvisor will have two wires on a plug.
Ones earth, ones live.
So that when the flap is opened it pushes a small metal contact inside the visor which completes the circuit and earths the bulb, Voila, one lit bulb :) Lol
ah right i see. what should i connect the live wire to? or straight to the battery.
and earth it to say behind the dash?
use the interior light wires :thumb:
You need the live feed to be to an ignition live.
And the earth can be connected to any earth you find, behind the dash somewhere.
ah right so i can connect them both to the interior light?
spot on! cheers chaps
oh yer. will it be black wire from the visor then to black on the light?

I have a spare loom for these sat next to my pc, with brown and red wires in it, red goes to the interior light feed (at the int.light), the brown goes to earth. they light up with the interior light.
will the red wire from the visor jst connect to the red wire on the int light then?
