if you read the artical it has been done especially for the MPH06 show and is not going on the streets. Just a promotional job! It also says that the tax payers did not pay for it (suprised!). The one that you think is a foriegn one is a Gallardo and is real but i dont think we will ever see anything like this in the U.K. I remember going to the motor show ages ago and there was a Lotus Esprite U.K police car, another promotional thing.

essex police did once run a ford rs200 with some enhancements. it was on a particular stretch of the A13 that had a lot of road racing going on and they built a ramp down to the carriageway so it could hit the road at about 120mph.
