View Full Version : Wiper motor location, without bulkhaed/firewall
Righto, I know a few of you have mounted the wiper motor is soime funky places, but I cant seem to get it right!
I know that a Uno (i think!!) motor is needed but I dont know how or where to put it!
Could someone (Oli or Chris!?) PM me with what needs to be used etc and I will be forever in your debt!?
Pics would also be just jolly!!
;)
you can use an ax motor (single wiper) bolts up to the scuttle panel
or mount the nova one on a peice of angle iron in its origanl place
Congrats dan 1k posts
Will ask chris, he has a ford part welded in i believe!

The easiest way should be the Uno Motor.
Why don't you use a one wiper kit from Bonrath or stuff like that? Mounting is simple and it works?

is there any easy way to do this and retain the twin wipers, as single wipers really are for gays
I have a single wiper:roll:
I dont care what it looks like as long as it clears the wet stuff off the transparent thing.
So, I will go buy an uno wiper all should be revealed?
if you buy / make an L shaped piece of metal weld the bottom to the flat part of bulkhead an bolt the standard wiper motor to the other part you can keep both wiper s
Yeah, that is an option. Only trouble is that my welding isnt up to much and its in a very obvious place!!
I also need it done by this weekend!! HELP!

try PMing Bottlethroddy. I noticed his blue Nova had the motor mounted under the scuttle for a single wiper conv. I asked the other day in a single wiper thread, but got no joy... perhaps its a secret mod?..I duuno.
I think Nova_Chris on here has a Uno type motor mounted under the scuttle.
I know that a uno or AX motor will work under the scuttle.. I just need to know how!! lol
I will PM everyone I think!:)

I modded a corsa unit to run single wiper on my nova. Wiring wise it plugs straight in to the nova loom...

You can shorten the original arm on the motor to create a single wiper. Just redrill the hole I think.
Ive not done it but a friend of mine did about 10yrs ago.
