Some sites may list it as the original model, and you need to specify the engine size if they ask for any modifications. Also have a look on the DVLA website to see if they've been registered with the correct size engine - www.vehiclelicense.gov.uk

^^ not neccesarily (sp) an insurance quote program will only have select options (i think) best bet is to ring them and explain everything that way you are definatly covered

Whenever you enter a cars registration, it will come up with whatever engine size was in it at manufacture/registration, regardless of wether it has been changed on the logbook!!

EG mine comes up as a 1.3 SR but its an XE and has been registered as a 2.o litre with the DVLA!!

DVLA site is about 95% accurate i'd say.
When i fitted my 1400, it updated online before i got my logbook back.

I wouldn't even drive my car if it wasn't properly declared, but im probably just paranoid,Lol.

Some people do bother lol, i bought one last year and it was still reg`d as a 1.2i, i think, K671 YMJ it was, so i reg`d it as 2.0ltr 16v, but my previous nova to that had an irish cover plate from a 1.4SR on it and some insurance places still bring that back as an SR even though it was transferred over 3years ago so god knows how they work lol!!!
