Welded engine bay

hi all..

recently had my bay welded up.. i was woundering what primmer should i use on it ??

also how should/could i go about smoothing the bay? filler fibre glass?

i wouldn't use filler or fibreglass it will just crack when driving with the xe

Just grind the welds down so they look nice.
Then spray over with normal primer/zinc primer.

Tidy up the welds with a grinder, use etch primer on bare metal, then use a 2pack hi-build primer,the etch will etch into the bare metal u can put the hi-build primer over the top of the etch with out flatting it.

grind welds down like said, but imo i would put some seam sealer over the top too

What will seem sealer do? theres no seam to seal it can look a mess when just put on all over.

If the welds are neat then paint over them.
