View Full Version : F13 gearbox re-build

hope someone can help me here as i am really stuggling putting the selector tuuret back on my F13 gearbox, is there and easy way that i'm missing out on?
i can see were the fork locates in the ge****t but just can't get the bitch to locate in!! the fork sits in a cutout and the rear of the fork locates in section at the very top of the box, its hard to explain, so heres some pics

once this is done, engine can go in........:)

Is the box in neutral?

They normally fly straight in.
Just put it in, and move it about slightly till it drops in.

not sure what gear its in, can i change the gear without the turret in?

Yeah you can change gear without the turret in.

If you put the turret into position, and wiggle it,Lol, it should just drop into position.

i had the same problem when i did mine last week, if you look into the gearbox you can see where the selecter locates on the shaft, you can also see where it locates onto some pins sorry dont know what there called.
they wont be aligned properly so jsut flick the ones acress untill theres a gap down the middle.
if you dont understand ill get you a pic 2moz

Wohoo!! just had another play, moved them pins to the side with a screwdriver and bingo, she went in, moved through some gears, now its in neutral, gonna celabrate with some Carling............:thumb:
