View Full Version : Single wiper where does it sit??

Right gonna try and start a poll so bear with me i've never done it !!
Just bought a single wiper but don't no where it should sit Driver side?? Passanger side?? or in the middle?? (i no its a MOT failer)

Whats the gen with the method of remounting the motor under the scuttle panel & loosing the linkage bars etc?

Passenger side is best. Thats where i have mine.
Its legal and passes MOT like that.

I dont like them in the middle.

i got one of ebay don't think u need to move the motor or anything i havn't put it on yet so i'll let you no 2moz!

Can't you just use a Fiat Uno or similar motor/arm then there are no linkages at all, I have done this on my Primera, seems fine.. lol

It just replaces the standard linkage, takes 10mins fit.

But if yer a passenger its highly annoying with it parked in your view, unless my mates wasnt set up nicely. Used to make me feel sick tho...

Meh, i drive mine, so i dont see that as a problem.

I have had a few complaints tho (i.e. WTF is the wiper doing stuck there) Lol

id have mine on passenger side to.as long as its not in my view it wouldnt bother me

Yeah my mates used to moan about my DIY jobbie as it was parked halfway between centre and passenger side. I agree! It's horrible when it's in your field of vision, but a decent mono wipe should be resting at the bottom of the screen out of the way imo

Half way between the centre and bottom passenger side is where it does sit.
They dont sweep 180deg of the screen.

Even tho it says on the Storm site, 180deg sweep, it doesn't, Lol.
