Are you sure you want one of them, they are a weld in cage! That means you have to weld all of it!

its for rallying so would like a weld in one. i know alot of people use the bolt in cages for rallying.
was told they are a 16 point cage like the walden engineering cage's. but walden have stopped doing the cage i wanted.:(

Thats OK, as long as you know whats involved. iirc it come as bits of bent tube and you have to piece it all together and weld it all up, thats why they are a reasonable price

whats the best way of welding the cage joints at the roof? would u have to cut a hole to get in to the rest of the pipe?

no you dont need to cut the roof unless you dont fit it in the right sequence
the cage sits on platforms you sit the cage temp on the platforms to get the main hoop and front bars in position when you have them where you want them you weld up what you can see
then remove platforms which enables you to lower the cage approx 3" and can then get round the joint fully
you then sit the cage back on the platformsand fit the backstays and doorbars etc
THE PLATFORMS ARE THE LAST THING THAT YOU WELD TO THE CAGE

tbh it aint easy getting the cage all sat in properly i used wooden wedges to hold everything in the right place
under the new build 06 gallery on my site www.aswrally.co.uk (http://www.aswrally.co.uk) there are pics of my cage in the fitting process
it a full spec fia weld in from custom cages with all ends profiled but you still have to fettle some of them as they arnt spot on and the front platforms are wrong (or mine were) and ended up remaking them
unless you a good welder forget it
