MOT tomorrow!

Finally got my MOT tomorrow! Not looking forward to it!

Only thing i'm really worried about is the emissions, dont really know how it works if anyone wants to explain it to me would be useful! other than that everyone cross yours fingers!

The guy who owns the garage (where my dad has been taking cars for 20 odd years) explained to me that if you could'nt see it smoking when revved whilst warm that it'd probably pass. Other than that all I know is that all novas are subject to the less stringent emissions test.

Basically, the tester does a natural idle speed check(800-1300rpm it has to fall between)
CO and HC is measure at natural idle, and then at fast idle(2500rpm-3000rpm)

Should pass easily if its a carb engine.

Recommend you take it for a good run(Thrash ahem) to clear it out and get it upto temperature.

Well she passed! (eventually!)

Took her there at 8am and i had done everything on the fail sheet, however the first MOT missed the fact that both my front flexi hoses were shot!

So it failed on that, trip to the motor factors and ?13 later and about an hour both were done! Back to the MOT station and straight through!

So near enough a year to the day that i got banned i'm back on the road!

Engine isnt sounding to healthy though so a set up come next pay day me thinks!

Other than that just desperate to change the wheels! after cesaro's or cav gsi rims in the east anglia area if anyone knows of any! I will also swap my rims for anything you guys have on offer!

its a 1.6 engine, dunno what its from though
