Not sure why, but for some reason I found this (http://news.aol.co.uk/families-shocked-as-pelican-swallows-pigeon/article/20061025025009990001) to be rather amusing!

I found this bit to be particularly disturbing:

The pigeon was definitely alive when it reached the pelican's stomach

Just seen it on the news, showed you a video of it eating it but had to cut it off when it started to shallow it as it got too graphic lmao

lol thats pretty funny.

I bet if they studied the pelican it will probably be eating more than just one pigeon.

At my local fishing lake there is a duck called Hannibal who lies in wait underneath the vegetation at the bank side and as anglers reel in their fish it does the whole flap and paddle thing across the surface and grabs the fish.... ducks are supposed to eat algae.

Fishing is alright matey.

Its good when you haul something out that weighs nearly 30lbs.

I haven't been for ages though.

fishing is kool, my PB is 26lb mirror carp... on 4lb line mind...:thumb:

Was only fishing for roach to use as dead/live bait

i saw this on the news - did anyone else notice that the little kid there threw some food in the general direction of the pigeon, and just as it did, the pelican ate the pigeon? I reckon the kid is to blame for the WHOLE THING.

My PB is 27lb 8oz common carp.
My brother goes to Spain fishing and catches 80lb+ catfish.

As for the pelican....think we should import a few dozen for trafalgar square.
