Right, started to fit the apex springs and dampers today they are the -60mm kind. Anyway got as far as one cornor before it was too dark to carry on. We done the rear off side. Now the lowering spring just dont seem to be sitting it the mount as it should, it just dosnt seem right somehond according to the old man. But went back on the ground no probs. common fault?? anyone shed some light? And with the front is it as easy as just taking the old units out and replacing it with the new ones. Baring in mind the apex stuff is a full kit. Will the tension in the sring send it flying and take my eye out or kill the neighbours cat? Cheers:thumb:

OH dear lol

The rears will look funny as i presume they are shorter springs

As for the fronts, undo the 2 bolts on the top mount, undo the 2 on the bottom of the leg and remove strut! replace with new ones same way!!

i think you'll need the turret tops aswell for the front.you'll need to compress the spring, take of the top nut and dissassemble (sp) everythink then re asssemble (after a clean) on the new struts

Rear springs sometimes have a top & bottom. The pig tails on either end may vary in shape.
You need spring compressors to do the fr struts, good luck getting the top damper nut off if its the original shocks.

Also pay attention when re-assembling the top mounts, theres a hole that needs to be aligned so the camber isnt way out when put back on the car...see a Haynes manual about this.

or maybe its simply becasue youve only done 1 corner so all 3 standard shocks and springs will be "holding" the lowered corner up
