View Full Version : Digi dash mileage!

I've just brought a digi dash, im not going to fit it my mate is. We were just wondering how you change the mileage as on the dash it says 80,000miles and my car has only done 60,000, can any one help?

you can wind it on or back but if you do that, you will mess up the alignment of the numbers and it will look dodgy. My digidash says 102,000 and my cars only done 71k. When you go for an MOT just say what your mileage is. They don't look at it.

I managed to take some clocks apart, if you very carefully lever the dials apart with a small jewlers scredriver so the ratchet thing isn't engaged you can carefully flick the dials round to the correct reading. You may have to mess about to line up the dials though so don't rebuild it til youv'e tested it. Oh and when I took the back off the clock there was a note saying "oh no not again!" :)

So do you take the plastic front off or unscrew the back to get to the numbers?

you cant change the numbers on a digi dash by "fiddling" with the numbers. its an electronic circuit. youll have to connect the gearbox sender up and run it on a drill till you get the milage you want.

The miles aren't digital on the digi dash!!. I took mine a part an put my original mileage on fine. It is simple.

well i stand corrected. and in that case the digi dash sounds shat!!! ohh so fancy and digital but whats this boring old normal odometer. kinda destroys the "cool" effect of having one.
