could anyone tell me why im gettin a petrol smell in my oil has anyone had this before and how do you adjust the tickover on a gte :thumb: cheers

for the steering colum undo the top two 13mm nuts that hold it to the bracket (will need to take off the plastic cover), you then have another 13mm bolt about half way down the colum onto the bracket again, take this out. Then undo the 13mm bolt that goes on the steering knuckle (inbetween the colum and rack) After you have doe that yuo might need to pull it all down and forward to slide it off the washer things.

petrol in the oil sounds like it's running in cold start all the time, putting to much fuel in and that's probably running straight past the rings into the sump. this could be related to the idle by the air flow meter needing adjusting ( if it's got one), Best bet is to get a mobile krypton tuner to have a look at it.

could be a sticking injector, so it dribbles when the engine is turned off, past the piston rings into the sump

For E16SE and C16SE,

the values should be in the haynes, but you're best off getting someone with a gas analiser to do the co.

And yes I have finally worked out how to use TIS and do screen captures.
