Exhausts

I have got a GSi rear bumper to fit my GTE but when I tryed to fit it, it wouldn't fit round the exhaust, can I modify the exahust mounts to make it come out lower or do I need to get myself a GSi exhaust (I assume that an early spec GSi one, (non-cat) which should be the same right?

The GTE exhaust exits in the bumper the same as the sr. On the SRI and GSI the exhaust exits below the bumper, From my experience it's a lot easier to get the right exhaust

just cut the bumper to suit?
lowering the exuast will make it catch on the back axle and handbrake cable. mot fail!

i'd have to cut a huge hole in the bumper to fit it, does that mean that everyone thinks that an early GSi one will do the job?
