rough xe

my xe on tick over the revs seam to fluctuate eg rise and fall with a slite miss fire and when driving seams to have a unbelivible flat spot.

yer my brothers GSi was doing that, and it was the ICV

but could also be down to a split hose

yep first thing id check is for air leaks

cheers lads would the icv give it a big flat spot and feel slow? sum 1 told me the cpsenser located at the front of the block. cheers

ICV wouldn't give a flat spot, its only for idle.
CTS would tho(coolant temperature sensor), if its telling the ecu the engine is cold all the time, it will be running warmup enrichment map, meaning its overfueling, that would make it feel rough and "hunt" at idle.

it sounds like there is air gettin in2 the fuel system sumwhere best way is to check for spilt pipes an spray either wd 40 or sum brake cleaner over the intake pipes an ul knw if its drawin air coz itl jus suck in watever u spray on it

i dont no if it is but it could be the problem i stiped it down and found a air leak so could be it. (not back together yet)
