i have been driving about recently in my new 2.0L converted SRi, but discovered today that both my fecking balljoints have just busted and flattened themselves and all the greasey shit is leaking out everywhere!! has anyone else had a problem with their balljoints in a 2.0L nova? maybe its something to do with the extra weight, etc :-/

not much weight is placed on the ball jounts but cornering forces are, thats why i fitted new balljoints, track rod ends, etc...

i dunno the bottom of the suspension take a fair bit of weight, but i guess the strut holds it up aswell. ne way std ball joints cost about ?22 each and are a piece of wee to fit, its loads easier if you take the strut bolts out too

the ball joint is a hanging item
the weight is passed from
shell-strut-hub-wheel-tyre-ground
weight never goes through the ball joint
